Who needs to implement an external channel?
In accordance with the Act of 14 June 2024 on the protection of whistleblowers, the obligation to implement external channels rests with all public authorities that are obliged to receive external reports from whistleblowers and take follow-up actions in response to these reports.
What is the difference between an internal and external channel?
- The internal channel is intended for whistleblowers who wish to report violations of the law directly in their workplace, believing in the effectiveness of internal mechanisms and the lack of risk of retaliation.
- The external channel is an option for those who, for various reasons, do not want to or cannot use internal procedures, e.g. for fear of reprisals or in situations where previous reports have not brought results.
